【End】 02/22 “Tsugaru Traditional Crafts” Kogin Sashimi Workshop

This time, at TSUGU Kyoto Sanjo 1F coffee and wine ushiro, we will welcome Mr. Hitomi Aiya Hitomi Doi and hold a Kogin sashimi workshop "inheriting the traditional craft of Tsugaru".

Kogin sashimi is one of the techniques of sashimi transmitted to Tsugaru, Aomori Prefecture. During the Edo era, mainly farmers, sashimi was sewn with cotton thread on clothes linen to prevent severe cold.

The basic pattern of Kogin sashimi is called "Modoko", and currently there are about 40 types.

It features a beautiful geometric pattern by stabbing.

Contents | Create one of your favorite from hair elastic, brooch, and mini amount

Participation fee | Each ¥ 1,500 (with 1 cup of coffee) Payment is cash only

Capacity | 6 people

Small items are produced using the technique of "kogin sashimi", a kind of sashiko that has been transmitted to the Tohoku region for about 300 years.
