Akira Fujimoto was born in Tokyo in 1975. After enrolling in the Communication Research Center FABRICA (Italy) in 1999, completed the graduate school of Tokyo University of the Arts (design major). After working as an assistant at the Department of Advanced Arts and Expressions, Tokyo University of the Arts, he plans and implements exhibitions and projects that ask society about uncontrollable phenomena that occur in society and the environment under the theme of NEW RECYCLE®. We are planning to present different works for the gallery exhibition and the room exhibition. The exhibition at the gallery is centered around a series in which the craft jars that were sleeping in the warehouse in collaboration with the Arita porcelain pottery were revived as works using transfer-type painted glaze and painting. On the other hand, in the guest rooms, a large work that covers the entire wall will be exhibited as an accommodation plan with an audio guide.
GALLERY ROOM ・ A
The Chain Museum, which operates the art platform "ArtSticker", is a new commercial gallery jointly operated with independent curator Aoki Aoki. We will introduce various artists who are active in Japan and abroad regardless of age and genre, and will announce an artist's solo exhibition (ROOM).
"Experience in ART"
GALLERY ROOM ・ A is a place to experience "art" in various interpretations. What is the purchase of a work for? How do artists create a work? What effect does a work have for us? Let's explore the unknown value in use. At GALLERY ROOM ・ A, through appreciation and purchase of works, dialogue with artists, and accommodation programs, we will open up the possibility of healing people like a clinic at one time and learning at an academy at another time. I will. Aki Aoki (Independent Curator)
